In the latest research from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the VU University in Amsterdam, a meta-analysis and review was conducted to determine the effects of acupuncture on pregnancy and live birth among women undergoing IVF.
After combining the results of seven trials and 1,366 women, they concluded that women who underwent acupuncture in conjunction with IVF were 65% more likely to have a successful embryo transfer compared with those who underwent a "sham" version of the treatment, or no treatment at all.
